How to change the Dashboard layout

Updated on

The Dashboard

Your dashboard is your home screen and can be used to present important information in a simple and customisable layout. It can be a snapshot of your  work and a reference for the days ahead. It can show your performance metrics, your to-do task list, your appointments. There are a multitude of pre-set widgets and screen layouts to choose from. You also have the choice of setting up different ‘views’ for your dashboard. This might be useful if you have multiple job functions within the business, for example.

Open the Dashboard Settings Panel

  1. Select Dashboard View by selecting Dashboard from the Main Menu.
  2. Open the Dashboard Settings slide out panel by clicking the [Open] blue arrow icon on the right hand side of the Work Area Quick buttons. Three tabs will be presented WidgetsLayouts and Views.

Changing Layouts

  1. Select the Layout tab.
  2. Click the Layout that you wish to be displayed on your Dashboard. The action will refresh the screen and allow you to move widgets on screen.

The widgets within the work area can be arranged freely by clicking the widget coloured header and dragging the widget to the areas indicated on your screen by the text 'drag here' and the very light grey dotted outline that will appear as you drag and move your widget around the screen. Every 'View' can have a different layout.

The maximum number of widgets that can be added at any one time is 10. Use the Dashboard View options to create customised views to suit your working style. Refer to Creating a customised View
