Your dashboard is your home screen and can be used to present important information in a simple and customisable layout. It can be a snapshot of your work and a reference for the days ahead. It can show your performance metrics, your to-do task list, your appointments. There are a multitude of pre-set widgets and screen layouts to choose from. You also have the choice of setting up different ‘views’ for your dashboard. This might be useful if you have multiple job functions within the business, for example.
Initially your dashboard will be the system default with the weather widget at the top or it may be blank. To create a personalised view you will need to add widgets and arrange them to your requirements . This is all managed via the right hand slide out panel accessed by the arrow icon.
The process involves selecting your widgets and a layout then reverting to the dashboard view and arranging your widgets on screen using the guides provided. Once happy with the result you can then save the layout or 'view' for later recall. The default view is called 'My View" and if currently displayed will be marked with a star icon.
Widgets can be selected to appear on your dashboard view, they are pre-configured and cannot be modified except for placement and size. Refer to How to add widgets to your Dashboard
- Click the arrow to open and select via the tick box the widget you wish to add to your dashboard.
The maximum number of widgets that can be added at any one time is 10. Use the Dashboard View options to create customised views to suit your working style.
Note the Widget categories shown will depend on your Log In credentials. Only those Work Activities you have access to will be available to you. The core modules available are General, CRM, Opportunities and Connect.
Once you have added a few widgets to your dashboard you may wish to present the view in a particular layout. A number of pre arranged layouts or guides can be used and the widgets can be moved to suit your preference. Refer to How to change the Dashboard layout
- Click to highlight your preferred layout.
The default view is called 'My View'. If you wish to create a different dashboard for each aspect of your daily work activity then this is entirely possible by creating a new view based on either the blank dashboard view, the system default or by cloning the current dashboard view. Refer to Creating a Dashboard View
- My Views - the default view is My View and in this case it is the current view marked by the star icon.
