CompleteEmpire presents a clean and consistent screen layout that is intended to be intuitive and dynamic.
Within CompleteEmpire most activity views will open and automatically present a search panel on the right hand side of the screen. The selection of search fields presented will be depend on the work activity area that you are currently working on.
Whenever the panel is available there will be either a blue left arrow icon or a grey right arrow icon. Use the control to open or close the slide out panels as necessary.

Search Panel
- Search Panel - Panel opens to present a range of search and filter fields that will enable advanced searching.
Open/Close the Search Panel
- [Open Panel] button (blue left arrow icon) on the right hand side of the Work Area Header to open the side Search Panel.
- [Close Panel] button (grey right arrow icon) to close the side Search Panel.
- Search Panel - the type and number of search/filter fields presented will change to match the context of the current work area.
- [Clear Search] - click to clear all search criteria entries.
Note that your Search panel will have different search fields and filters which will be related to the context of the underlying Work Area.
Using the search panel is intuitive, select dates using the pop out calendars, select entries from drop down lists or enter directly into the fields to select. In most cases entering at least 3 characters will suffice. CREF can be used to find contact logs by entering the alpha numeric part of the CREF after the colon.
Notes
The right hand panel ordinarily presents a search capability but has alternative functionality within the following modules and in some work area views. For example in the following modules:-
- Dashboard - opens the Dashboard configuration slide out panel.
- Messages and Calendar - opens the Mail/Calendar Import slide out panel.
- Document Management (DMS) - opens the Document Properties panel.
