Exploring the Opportunity Edit view

Opportunities can be created in many ways but the Opportunities view is a easily accessible and with expansive search and filter tools you will be able to quickly focus on those opportunities of importance to you but can be reviewed by subscribers to your CompleteEmpire subscription. Use the Edit view to update and advance the opportunity to the relevant internal and external associates to ensure that your business can optimise contact with potential clients both new and existing.

Accessing the Opportunity Edit view

From the Opportunities view

  1. Access the Opportunity Edit view by selecting from the Main Menu {Opportunities} > {Opportunities} to open the grid view, use the search panel to filter all opportunities to focus on those of concern to you.
  2. Click the [Edit] to open the Edit view of the highlighted opportunity.

If in the Summary view proceed to the Edit view by;-

  1. In the work area summary panel click [Edit]  -  to open the opportunity Edit view.
  2. In the work area panels click any of [Edit] buttons  -  click to open the opportunity Edit view.

Opportunity Summary Panel

  1. [Actions]  -  click to create a new Contact Log or a a new notification to a colleague.
  2. [Summary]  -  click to return to the Opportunity Summary view.
  3. Whenever the temperature icon is present click to open the drop down box. Choose the applicable status Hot. Warm, Cold. See Hot, Warm or Cold?
  1. Colour coded Status indication and [Change Status] action button to quickly change the current status of the opportunity.
  2. Drop down list of the available status choices and standard colour coding used by CompleteEmpire
  1. Colour coded enquiry [Advance to Enquiry] status button  -  drop down menu to select the next step in progressing the selected opportunity.

  3. Click the relevant work area button in the list to advance the opportunity to an Enquiry. Options list depends on the work activities assigned to you.

Opportunity Work Panel bookmarks

Bookmark Description 
Details Enter account details that you have for the current opportunity for future reference
Account Client account details including visibility of the history using the filters, access to shortcuts to edit the account, reassign and unsubscribe options etc.
Contact Logs View Contact Logs relevant to the current opportunity

Opportunity Work Area

Details

  1. Details panel -  edit any field as required noting that red outlined fields are mandatory.
  2. The [Change] button is used to reassign the type of opportunity.
  3. {I confirm that I am the catalyst & creator of this opportunity? - tick if you genuinely are the catalyst or creator. The answer is essential for proper recording of referral payments. Consider your job description as you should not tick the box if your normal activity requires you to create, process or manage opportunities.
  4. Notes  -  add notes that will assist you or your colleagues with future interactions with the opportunity.

Account

  1. Account  -  summary of the account
  2. [Reassign]  -  click to reassign the opportunity if required, opens a new window to allow you to search accounts
  3. [Edit Account]  -  click to open a new window to edit the basic account details.
  4. [Unsubscribe Options]  -  click to open a new window to edit the clients subscription consent status.
  5. The History panel will display all activity related to the account in view. The Quick Access buttons are filters that allow you to quickly view relevant activities of interest.

Contact Logs

  1. Contact Logs  -  contact logs related to the current opportunity.
  2. Click [Create New]  -  add a new contact log.
