The Consult Fee Payments view will list all outstanding payments, those that require your action to complete. Check the payment has been received by reconciling the payments due with your bank account and issue a tax receipt for the tax work to the client. When completed the client account is removed from the Consult Fee Payment grid view.
- In the Main Menu click {Consulting}>{Consult Fee Payments} to open the fee payments view.
- Work Fee Payments Work Area Quick button group.
- Use the Search panel to filter and find the relevant invoice. The Search panel opens automatically with the view. Accessed by using the open and close the arrow icon.
- Click to highlight the Work Fee Payment to action.
- Select the bank account into which payments are to be made.
- Grid headings are interactive and can be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking once. The column which has been sorted will be marked with an arrow – up for ascending and down for descending. The grid column titles can also be sorted by clicking on the ellipses. You can also choose to remove or add column headings. Columns can be reordered and column widths adjusted by clicking and dragging.
- [Payment Made] - opens the Payment Made window for the highlighted account.
- [View Summary] - open the highlighted account in the Tax Works summary view.
- [Edit] - opens the highlighted account in the Tax Works edit view.
- [Refresh] - Refresh the displayed screen to review changes.
- Paid Date - pre-filled with current date use calendar to amend if necessary.
- Pre-filled from the Consults work but each item can be edited at this point.
- Email - subject field is pre-filled but can be edited if required, also edit body text if required considering that the email will be sent to the client if the tick box above is selected.
- Click [OK] to close the window and return to the grid view.
Before a payment can be recorded the receipt template must have been created.
