When in the Timesheets view you can create a new entry in two ways.
- Double click on the day/week timetable calendar view at the time and date to open the New Entry window or
- Selecting the Project and Task from the quick entry bar in the header.
Selecting the Project or area of work will ensure that the appropriate list is presented for you to select for the task undertaken
Timesheet entry
- Double click the timesheet selecting the time and date for the entry to open a new timesheet entry window.
- Select the work that your undertaking from the available work in the dropdown list (sorted by groups of specific work and work type). The list presents outstanding work from the past 12 months. Narrow the choices by filtering the selection by text entry or select from the general list by entering a general term such as Tax, Office, Project - the general area of the work. Mandatory field.
- Select the task from the dropdown list and or enter description of the work involved to find the appropriate type of task your undertaking.
- Select start time/date noting it is based on your selection in the timetable.
- Select finish time/date noting it is based on your selection in the timetable.
- Click [Save] to add to the calendar.
If you cannot see the work that you intend to work on, step 2 above, it is probably because the work has been marked as completed and is over 12 months old. This is an administrator setting and can be reviewed upon request to your subscription administrator/manager
- Note that adding to the timetable is not the same as submitting your workday/week to the Timesheets management system. Submitting requires you to click on [Submit] button on right side of the timetable view.
