When creating a new contact log from within the Work you have the option to now add a timesheet entry at the same time as also creating an appointment and adding to your calendar..
When in the work you have two options to create a new contact log.
- From the always accessible Quick Access button group selecting [Create New]>{Contact Log} or
- From the Work Actions button [Actions]>{Create New}>{Contact Log}
- With Option 1 you will be asked if the contact log is for the current work, the general account of the client or for a different client. Selecting either {For the current work} or {For the general account of the client} will, when [OK] is clicked, open a New Contact Log window with a Timetable tab.
{Details} tab and {Entry} tab
- Complete the required fields or select and add information as necessary.
- Click [Next] repeat for the {Entry Tab}.
{Timesheet} tab
- If you wish to create a timesheet entry at this point as you have, for example, spent some time discussing an issue of concern with your client then tick the box {Would you like to create a timesheet entry?}, This will open up additional data entry fields.
- {What have you been doing?} select from the drop down list the task you have completed. The available options will have been agreed with your administrator/manager reflecting your current work.
- Click [Next] to advance to the Appointments tab and {Finish] the contact log, Timesheet entry and calendar entries as appropriate.
Note that you can choose to enter a start time/date or an end time/date with duration automatically calculated as an entry in your timesheet.
