Create a timesheet entry from a change of status within the Work

Whilst in the Work and when you update the work status you have the opportunity to include a timesheet entry for the task you are undertaking or intend to undertake. As you are already in the work the system does not request the Project.  Also you would have the opportunity to create a future appointment. An appointment added to your calendar can be used to easily create a timetable entry.   

Create a timesheet entry from a Change Status within the Work (in this example Tax Work)

  1. Click [Change Status] - to open the Change Status window.
  1. Tick {Would you like to create a timesheet entry?} to expand the entry fields.
  1. Select from the drop down list the best fit for the task your undertaking, only those relevant to the works and as set up by your system Administrator or Manager.
  2. Complete the Start/End time and date and duration fields a necessary.
  3. When complete, including making an appointment if relevant, click [OK}

  1. The timesheet is automatically populated with the information entered via the work.
  2. If created from a work module the timesheet entry includes a link to the relevant work for easy navigation. Click to open the relevant work view.

Create an appointment and adding to Timesheet

Although a timesheet entry can be added at the time of updating a work status there is also a quick way to add the timesheet entry at the time you actually undertake the work without having to create a new entry or moving an existing entry

  1. Instead of ticking {Would you like to create a timesheet entry? Untick if applied then...
  2. Tick {Would you like to create an appointment?} - to open the appointment entry fields.
  3. Click [OK]
  1. Complete necessary fields.
  2. Click [OK] to add the appointment to your calendar

At this point you have create the appointment and there is nothing else to do until you undertake/complete the appointment.

Creating a Timesheet Entry from an appointment.

  1. From your Calendar view you can right click the appointment to open a menu to display the options {Add Timesheet Entry} / {Edit} / {Delete}
  2. Click {Add Timesheet Entry} to add the appointment to your timesheet

  1. The timesheet is automatically populated with the information entered via the Calendar.
