Creating a new message from the Messages work area

Messages is a simple internal message and email system within CompleteEmpire.

A Message is sent internally from you to another subscribers account. The recipient will receive an Alert in the Main Header as a CompleteEmpire subscriber and an email to advise them of a new message.

The option to send as an email means the it can be delivered to an external (non subscriber) account as long as the email address belongs to an existing account within your CompleteEmpire subscription.

Within the Messages work area there are two ways to create a new message or email.

  • The red [Compose] button to the left of the work area
  • The [Compose] button within the Work Area Quick Action group buttons to the top right of the work area  

Create new message or email from the Messages Work Area

  1. Click [Compose] in the Messages Work Area Summary Header to open the messages view.  Or; Click [Compose] envelope icon in the Work Area Quick Action buttons group to open the email message window

Email Message window

  1. To  -  select the recipient(s) from the drop down list, type in a few letters of the recipients name to filter.
  2. Cc  -  select the Carbon copy recipient(s) from the drop down list, type in a few letters of the recipients name to filter.
  3. Select from the drop down list the message level of importance - Low, Normal (default) or High.
  4. Subject - Type subject of the message.
  5. Type your message within the Body text area using the tools above to format as required. Insert hyperlinks or attach documents from the DMS.
  6. {Would you like to send as an email?} - Tick the box to send the message as an email. Note this is required to send as an email rather than internally within your CompleteEmpire subscription. Messages can only be sent to accounts that are added to your subscription.
  7. Click [Send]  -  click to send as an email to send to non subscription subscriber accounts.

You can add links into the body text, rename those links and add documents via the DMS. Refer to Inserting a web link  into a message or email

Messages window header buttons

The Message window header has two further buttons -

  1. Click [Return to Inbox] to return to Inbox view.
  2. Click [Send] to send email/message.

When sent as an email the standard email footer (email skin) linked to your account activity profile will be added to the email sent.

Messages / emails created and sent this way do not include the CREF reference to allow CompleteEmpire to track correspondence.

Messages will only be sent to users with accounts on your CompleteEmpire system. You have the choice to send as an email  - click {Would you like to send as an email?} You cannot simply type in an email address

NOTE: - If the user is not a registered user account within your CompleteEmpire subscription then the message will automatically be sent as an email.
