An email created within Outlook can be linked to CompleteEmpire using the CREF code or tag. The tag is a unique identifier that will automatically assign your communication to the relevant Contact Log chain in CompleteEmpire.
To link emails to CompleteEmpire you need to have a CREF tag at the end the subject of your email.
The CREF tag is generated automatically from within CompleteEmpire when creating a new contact log and is added to the contact log subject line and is in the format [CREF#: AjALBTGBUWHi]

To quickly copy and paste the CREF from a contact log into an email composed withing Outlook use the [Copy to clipboard] icon to the immediate right of the CREF. See 1. above.

The email generated within Outlook and any subsequent emails with the same CREF in the subject line will be linked within CompleteEmpire once you have imported your emails. How to Import Emails from Outlook
The unique identifier, the CREF code, will automatically assign your communication to the relevant Account Contact Log email chain within CompleteEmpire.
This means that once an email trail or thread has the CREF included then all past emails and subsequent emails will be linked and accessible in CompleteEmpire and will meet your filing and compliance needs.
Please take note:
- Currently importing and synchronising emails between Outlook and CompleteEmpire is a manual process.
- Emails imported into CompleteEmpire will not include attachments.
