Understanding relations and family groups

Updated on

Relations  - are for reference and can include family, ex partners, parents, co-workers, employers, general related contacts however this is only things that relate i.e. John Smith might have a SMSF & trust but if they do not have any interlinking parties they would not be added as relations for each other.

Entity -  controlling legal entity, only entities with control of the account should be linked. Examples would be a trust, SMSF, businesses or similar legally constituted structure. Within CompleteEmpire an Entity is required for every account that requires access to a CompleteEmpire subscription.

Family Group -  groups of accounts managed by the same people i.e. the account John and Daisy Smith is the ultimate owner/controller of multiple accounts and by selecting the account as the Family Group we can  easily see where the account ultimately belongs.

John and Daisy Smith have joint accounts, SMSF and Trust, John Smith has an individual account and a company, Daisy has a an individual account and there is & child (Victoria) account, they are all part of the same family group, so in all accounts (including John & Daisy Smith) you would select John & Daisy Smith to be the “Family Group.
