Unique email address - what do when non existent

When creating an entity there is a requirement to use a unique email address. This is a critical requirement when the entity is required to have a login account to Complete Empire or a client/partnership portal.  

There are many situations where an entity does not have a active and unique email address. Example a Discretionary Trust may use one or more of the trustees personal individual email accounts.  Note for individuals check with that your client does not have an undisclosed email address. It is rare today to find individuals who do not have a unique email address.

It is a recommendation that your business follows a standard policy.

In this situation the recommendation is to follow a standard policy.

An example is

"Entity Name"@"Entity Type""Your Domain"

Entity Name (spaces removed) example J&DSmith Family Trust  = J&DSmithFamilyTrust

Entity Type Discretionary Trust abbreviated to DT

Your Domain = completeempire.com

So in example J&DSmithFamilyTrust@DTcompleteempire.com

  • Company/Corporation - PL
  • Discretionary Trust - DT
  • Deceased Estate - DE
  • Limited Partnership - LP
  • Partnership - P
  • Super Fund  -  SF
  • Unit Trust - UT

Above is an example - Consider your own needs and agree an internal policy
