There are several ways to create a new opportunity -
- From the Work Area Header Quick Button - available in every CompleteEmpire work activity area.
- From the within the Opportunity module using the Opportunity Work Area Quick buttons.
- From within the Work - either Summary view by clicking the edit button in the work area section which opens the Work Edit view at the opportunity section or directly in the Work Edit view.
Create a New Opportunity from Work Area Header Quick Button
- Click [Create New] button in the Work Area Header.
- Click Opportunity in the drop down menu to open a New Opportunity window.
Note the available choices in the drop down menu will depend on your system administrators setting for your work activity area.

- Click [Create New] + icon, to open a New Opportunity window.

- From within the work click Opportunities bookmark or scroll down to the Opportunities panel
- Click [Edit] to open the edit view for opportunities.
- In the Opportunities panel click [Create New] to open the available list of opportunity types.
- Click to select type to open the New Opportunity Window.
Note that as the opportunity is being created within the work for the account this information has been attributed automatically.
- Referred By - click and select the staff creating the opportunity to the business, by default is you. Optionally click Filter By to search by Name (default) Email or Mobile.
- Referred To - click and select the staff who will attend to action in respect of the opportunity. Optionally click Filter By to search by Name (default) Email or Mobile.
- Date - Enter date of creation. Default is the current date.
- Source/Origin - click and select from the choices presented in the drop down lists for the leads source and source origin. See Source/Origin below
- Reference and Referral Fees - Enter details if applicable.
- [Tick Box] - {I confirm that I am the catalyst & creator of this opportunity?}. Selecting this Check Box indicates you were the catalyst & creator of the New Opportunity and are expecting to be paid for this New Opportunity if the business transaction is Successful and the business received revenue as a result of this New Opportunity.
- [Tick Box] - {Has the transaction been completed?} - tick to trigger payment of any referral fee.
- [Tick Box] - {Is the record marked as deleted?} - reference for internal use.
- Click [Save] to save the new opportunity related to your work or click [Save & Notify] if you wish to open the Notify window and send a email to the referred an or the your client.
Your new opportunity has now been created from within the work.
New Opportunity window
- Account - click select the Client Account and select an existing client account from the drop down list. Enter at least 3 letters of the name into the account field, alternatively enter the phone or email address into the Account field and search by applying the filter.
- Click to Filter By to search by Name (default) Email or Mobile.
- If when creating a new opportunity, the system does not recognise the name or other contact details then you will need to create a new account. Click [+] Create New which will open an additional window New Account.
New Account - create a new account quickly directly within the work
Check before you create a new account, try searching by email or phone number as well as by name.
If no account can be found then The New Account window opens inside the New Opportunity window when the [+] Create New button is clicked in the New Opportunity window.
- Enter Name, Account Type, continue to complete the required fields to add the new account.

Continue with Opportunity creation..
- Account - click {Select the account} and select an existing client account from the drop down list. See above.
- Type - click {Select the Type} from the drop down list the type of opportunity being created. This field is provided to allow your business to define an expressed area of interest for the opportunity, refer to Lookups to configure.
- Referred By - click and select the staff creating the opportunity to the business, by default is you. Optionally click Filter By to search by Name (default) Email or Mobile.
- Referred To - click and select the staff who will attend to action in respect of the opportunity. Optionally click Filter By to search by Name (default) Email or Mobile.
- Date - Enter date of creation. Default is the current date.
- Source/Origin - click and select from the choices presented in the drop down lists for the leads source and source origin. See Source/Origin below
- [Tick Box] - {I confirm that I am the catalyst & creator of this opportunity?}. Selecting this Check Box indicates you were the catalyst & creator of the New Opportunity and are expecting to be paid for this New Opportunity if the business transaction is Successful and the business received revenue as a result of this New Opportunity.
- [Tick Box] - {Notify upon saving?} The tick box is only presented when the 'Referred To' field is completed and then will open the email window addressed to the referred person and it will be pre-populated with the opportunity details.
- Click OK - (only if the Opportunity Notification window i not presented.
Your new opportunity has now been created from within the work.
Source/Origin
- Source What was the source that made this New Opportunity possible. I.e.: Website, Event, Email, Concierge etc.
If this New Opportunity came from an Opportunity sent to you by the Concierge or Another Staff Member, the source remains the same as the opportunity you received.
- Origin What was the specific activity that created this New Opportunity you are now creating: Consultation with Client, Email from Client etc.
Opportunity Notification
If you selected the [Tick Box] - "Notify upon saving?" which is only presented when the 'Referred To' field is completed (Pt 10 above) then a email window Opportunity Notification? addressed to the referred person and pre-populated with the opportunity details will open.
Opportunity Notification Pop Up. This sends an email to the Staff Member Referred To and if CC ‘Client Name’ Check Box is selected the Client Will receive the same email as CC.The subject and body text are editable fields.
- [Tick Box] - {CC "name"} provides the ability to copy the email to the potential client.
- [Tick Box] - {Go to edit page?} Selecting this Check Box returns you to the New Opportunity where it can be further edited as required.
- Click OK
The opportunity now exists as an account on the system with a contact log of the interaction with the opportunity and if you have referred the opportunity to someone then you had the ability to notify them and/or the referrer.
