How to use the CompleteEmpire Knowledge Base

The CompleteEmpire Knowledge Base (KB) is your introduction to finding your way around and to learn how to use CompleteEmpire.

The Knowledge Base articles are fully indexed and therefore keyword searchable.

The Knowledge Base articles are updated regularly to accommodate changes in the application, work practices, suggestions and recommendations of staff and clients.

Comments can be posted at the bottom of each article. Suggestions for improvements and/or requests for clarification are most welcome to help the CompleteEmpire team prepare the best training and support outcomes for all.

The structure of the CompleteEmpire Knowledge Base website is as follows

Site Category Manuals Chapters Articles
A website where all of your articles are organised.
Within your site, you can organise content into one or more categories
Under each category you can have one or more manuals.
Chapters can include one or more articles.
The document that has instructions or content.

Essential Glossary

Throughout the Knowledge Base we have tried to use the same terminology. Key references are noted below. We have used the word "view" to represent the screen (console or content) that you see see as you work within CompleteEmpire. For example we may refer to the tax work area view when referring to the Work Area when you in the Tax module, as you navigate through CompleteEmpire the work area will change to reflect the current activity.

Main Header Always present incorporates your company logo, super search, alerts and account details
Main Menu Key navigation tool within CompleteEmpire, quickly accessible when needed.
Work Area Header Also known as the breadcrumb panel for navigation and Work Area Quick buttons
Work Area Quick buttons Quick access buttons that are ever present to help you with your work flow
Work Area Summary Header When present summarises your current work area activity
Work Area Summary Menu When present provides quick access to further window and detail
Work Area Dependent on work activity
Work Area Panel Quick Access buttons Powerful access in context of your current work area activity
Footer A home for bug reports, your suggestions and comments
Advanced Search Panel Panel that allows advanced searching, options depend on the work area 
Theme Settings Panel Panel that allows customisation of your screen and desktop
