How to add a document file to an account

Add documents/files to a account when in your work using the Documents panel in either the Summary or the Edit view.

You can add from a external folder by Select and Drag & Drop You can also Attach from DMS using a document that exists in the DMS.

Select and Drag & Drop

Within the work use the shortcut panel o scroll to the Documents panel.

  1. Click [Select files...] to open the familiar windows file manger window and select a file to upload.
  2. Alternatively you may use the Drag and drop feature - {Drop files here to upload}  
  1. Select and click [Open]

Your document will be uploaded marked as NEW!

  1. Right click and select {Properties} to open the document properties window.
  1. Enter as much relevant data as you can in the fields provided to enable you to improve your work processes and ability for you or your colleagues to find and manage the document in the future.
  2. Click [Save] to return to the Summary or Edit view and continue your work.

Attach from DMS

Within the work use the shortcut panel o scroll to the Documents panel.

  1. Click [Attach Documents(s) from DMS] to open the Attach Documents windows
  1. Ordinarily the folder presented will be the current work but dependent on your login credentials and work activities you may select your documents from other folders within the DMS.
  2. Click to highlight the document to attach to your current work.
  3. Click [Save] to upload and save the document to the account within your current work.

Use the {Search}, {Filter DMS by Tags} and the various filters in the header to locate the document of interest. Note that you can also view documents as a list.

Your document will be uploaded marked as NEW!

  1. Right click and select {Properties} to open the document properties window.
  1. Enter as much relevant data as you can in the fields provided to enable you to improve your work processes and ability for you or your colleagues to find and manage the document in the future.
  2. Click [Save] to return to the Summary or Edit view and continue your work.
